I'm a nutritional therapist and beauty nutrition practitioner specialising in plant-based nutrition and holistic gut, hormone and skin health. In other words, I help people to transition and maintain a balanced plant-based diet to achieve radiant health!

Hello + Welcome!

Iron is essential for maintaining robust health, glowing skin, strong nails and thick hair. It also helps to fight oxidative stress and accelerate wound healing.

Many plant foods contain high amounts of Iron, brightening the skin and boosting immunity. For example, half a cup of very nutritious spinach can fulfil 20% of your body’s daily iron needs.

Many people, especially women, worry that they won’t get enough Iron on a plant-based diet since non-heme Iron in plants doesn’t get absorbed as well as heme iron in animal foods.

I’m here to tell you that it can be easily fixed by adding Vitamin C-rich foods to your plant-based meals. Science shows that consuming foods high in Vitamin C in the same meal as plant foods rich in Iron will improve Iron absorption up to five times!

My Iron-Boosting Green Protein Smoothie is a delicious combination of Iron and Vitamin C-rich ingredients providing 90% of the daily Iron requirement for women!

This smoothie is excellent for menstruating women, as its high iron content could boost daily Iron consumption quickly and conveniently. Monthly blood loss can cause anaemia, which is highly prevalent in women of childbearing age.

Making this smoothie one of your daily meals would boost your Iron intake and provide a significant amount of Folate, Vitamins C, A, and K, Calcium, Copper, Magnesium, Manganese and Omega 3.

The most Iron rich ingredient in this smoothie is Chlorella. It is a form of algae that is highly nutritious. Chlorella is associated with many health benefits like lowering risk factors for heart disease, improved blood sugar management, and preventing Iron deficiency anaemia.

Chlorella is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin C, A, riboflavin, and zinc. The easiest way to add Chlorella into your diet is to add it to smoothies; amazingly, its mild taste effortlessly combines with the rest of the ingredients.

If you have never had Chlorella before but want to add it to your diet, consult your health provider first. Generally, Chlorella is very safe but could affect people with asthma or other allergies.
