My wellness journey started back in 2013 when I was working as an esthetician, helping people to look after their skin while I looked for solutions for my acne and eczema. Countless beauty treatments and prescribed medication were not helping, so I had to learn the hard way that my chronic skin issues were rooted in more complex health problems like hormonal imbalances and poor gut health.

Later on, I discovered the health benefits of plant-centric eating, which has turned my life in a new direction. Since then, I have been passionately sharing my wellness journey and helping others, including my family, transform their health by eating more plants!

I believe that success is the sum of small efforts, repeated daily. Setting achievable daily goals is essential for fulfilling your health goals long-term. From my experience, this mindset is critical when transitioning to a plant-based diet. If ethics are not the main reason for the change, then a basic level of knowledge in the subject is required to choose health confidently.

If you know nothing about plant-based nutrition, it can be tough to change your taste preferences because knowledge about the foods you eat makes the whole process more meaningful and enjoyable. As a certified nutritionist with a decade-long history of plant-based eating, I help people transition smoothly while educating them on the subject.

Before I got into nutrition science, I worked as an esthetician. I tried every product and pill to heal my stubborn acne before realising it was part of a more deep-rooted issue.

It took years of my own investigation to realise that stress and nutrition directly affected my skin and that an imbalance of hormones and bacteria in the gut was causing inflammation in my body, resulting in stubborn acne. By adopting a diet rich in nourishing fibre, polyphenols and antioxidants and allowing my gut and hormones to reset and heal, I gave my skin a whole makeover!

I believe in a lifestyle supporting three health pillars: stress management, gut health and detoxification. Having these under control will make you glow from the inside out. On top of that, science shows that following a plant-rich diet can minimise your risk of chronic disease and add years to your life!

All or nothing approach, people who want overnight results, restrictive diets. 

It can be very confusing for people wanting to improve their health to navigate through loud claims and never-ending debates about what foods are good or bad. I believe that the main aspect of healthy eating is paying attention to the overall dietary pattern than worrying about whether one single food is better for you than another. The 80/20 rule has been my approach to eating for many years, and it has helped me not fall into an obsession with “clean eating” or dieting.
