Hello + Welcome!

Did you know that after age 20, we produce about 1% less collagen yearly? And by the time we hit age 80, we’ve lost about 75% of collagen compared to when we were young!

Collagen, as a protein, is found in abundance in our bodies. It is the main component of our bone, muscle and ligament structure. As we age and grow, our bodies produce less collagen, which might lead to ageing skin and wrinkles. Some lifestyle factors, such as smoking or excessive sun exposure, can also damage collagen production in our bodies.

You can learn more about collagen here.

Some limited literature indicates that oral supplementation of collagen peptides improves skin hydration and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. However, we know that when humans consume proteins like collagen, they need to be broken down into amino acids to be absorbed, meaning that we can’t know where they will be used in the body.

And since vegan collagen supplements don’t exist, how do we stay “forever young” in an ethical and evidence-based way? We support our own collagen production through diet and lifestyle!

Smoothie is an excellent way to include all the nutrients required for natural collagen synthesis. The formula is simple – your meal should contain the following:

Silicon
Protein (glycine, proline and lysine)
Vitamin C

This smoothie contains all the essential nutrients required to accelerate natural collagen synthesis and other supporting nutrients
